Enigma of a Life-Changing Illusion
The Spiral Cell Illusion came at a time when I was staring at a blank with no heck of an idea what to do next. The effects were immediate and it propelled me to the top of my pyramid. There was nothing left to achieve except to strut it around.
Was it a catalyst for overcoming the blank? It's usually unusual for an illusion to have such a direct and powerful impact on motivation and drive. So did the illusion trigger a specific idea or insight? It was basically a sudden surge towards experiencing personal fulfillment, although it's a fact that I was relying solely on external validation for satisfaction.
Sometimes, a seemingly random stimulus can spark something unique within us, especially when staring at a blank. It is true that illusions, by nature, challenge our perception. There might be something deeper, perhaps a past experience or subconscious desire, that the illusion unknowingly connected with, igniting a personal fulfillment.
Ultimately, the reason behind the Spiral Cell Illusion's impact on me is personal and open to anyone's own interpretation. Now after all these decades, reflecting on the potential consequences, combined with memories and feelings surrounding the experience, it might just help piece together all the experiences of so far into one unifying journey of constant evolution. The complete picture is still shimmering just beyond my grasp.
So the question that naturally comes to mind is: Was the climb to the top truly worth the cost?
Regardless of the specific cause, it's valuable to learn from this experience. While external validation can be gratifying, I did understand the importance of finding intrinsic sources of motivation and fulfillment. This led me to connect with my underlying desires, exploring new challenges, or focusing on personal experiences.
Now, decades later, the Spiral Cell Illusion still remains an enigma. But reflecting on its potential ripple effects, combined with the lingering memories and emotions, has woven a new thread into the fabric of my life story. While the "top of the pyramid" offered its allure, the true journey lies in constant evolution.
Beyond external validation, I am now actively seeking my own sources of fulfillment, exploring new challenges, and connecting with my passions. The complete picture may remain elusive, but the climb itself has become a valuable lesson in self-discovery. And with each step forward, the question of "worth" fades into the background, replaced by the thrill of exploration and the promise of an ever-evolving self.

But she LOVES to put humpty-dumpty back together again.
[I'm going to bed now. {My spirit needs a different illusion.} ... will check back here again, however.]
